Not a Microsoft project: this is Related Digital's Stargate campus for OpenAI and Oracle on 250 acres of Saline Township farmland southwest of Ann Arbor, three 550,000-square-foot buildings exceeding 1GW of capacity. Related Digital secured $16 billion in construction financing (Oracle's equipment buildout could push the fully outfitted complex toward $56 billion). The township board initially voted the rezoning down; Related Digital sued, the case settled, and construction began within weeks, targeting more than 2,500 union construction jobs.
