Amazon's "Project Rainier" campus, announced April 2024 as an $11 billion, largest-in-state-history Indiana commitment (Gov. Holcomb / IEDC). Designed for 2.2GW across up to 30 buildings, seven were online and the site fully operational by October 2025, running Trainium chips to train Anthropic's Claude models. Amazon has since layered on an additional $15 billion for further northern-Indiana sites.
