Heartland Intel · Effective July 19, 2026

What personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Working template. Replace the bracketed placeholders and have counsel review before relying on this document. It is not legal advice.

1. Information we collect

Account and contact data you provide, such as name, email and organization. Billing data is handled by Stripe; we receive limited details (plan, status, last four digits) and do not store full card numbers.

Usage data such as pages viewed, features used and approximate location from IP, and technical data from cookies and similar technologies, including a first-party cookie that stores your plan entitlement.

2. How we use information

To provide, secure and improve the Service; to authenticate you and enforce plan entitlements; to process payments; to send service and (with consent where required) marketing communications; and to comply with legal obligations.

3. Legal bases

Where applicable law requires a basis, we rely on performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, your consent (for optional marketing and non-essential cookies), and compliance with legal obligations.

4. Sharing

We share data with processors that run the Service, including Stripe (payments), our hosting and infrastructure providers, and analytics providers, each under contract. We do not sell your personal information.

We may disclose information to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect rights and safety, and in connection with a merger or acquisition.

5. Retention and security

We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed for legitimate business and legal purposes, then delete or anonymize it. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it, though no method is perfectly secure.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, and EEA/UK residents under GDPR.

To exercise rights, contact legal@heartlandintel.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.

7. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies (including the plan entitlement cookie) and, where enabled, analytics cookies. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser and any on-site controls.

8. International, children, and changes

We may process data in the United States and other countries. The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We may update this Policy; the effective date will change and material updates will be notified where required. Contact: legal@heartlandintel.com.
